The Wait for the Rain
A project by Euan Wallace that follows people searching the earth for things lost or wanted
“Titled We Wait for the Rain, the project follows people who are searching the earth for things lost or wanted. So far, this has included people searching for the remains of their lost loved ones after a volcanic eruption destroyed a town in Guatemala, as well as miners in Mexico who work in dangerous and illegal conditions to mine amber for the jewelry market. Images also include several farms in Mexico and Guatemala that are using soil to develop sustainable methods of construction. I travelled alone for ten months with my 4x5 and 35mm cameras in a backpack to research and photograph these topics, and will be returning to Latin America in November to continue the project.”

Beautiful imagery and very thoughtful composition and execution. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful series, Im really keen to see how the artist continues to develop the series, ie how it will be published/exhibited, and whether the subject’s stories will come thru.
