Fan Ho was a Chinese photographer and filmmaker who is widely considered to be one of the most important figures in the history of Chinese photography. Born in Shanghai in 1931, Ho was exposed to the art of photography at a young age, and he began taking photographs when he was just a teenager. Over the course of his career, he produced a large body of work that includes photographs, films, and writing, and he is known for his ability to capture the beauty and complexity of everyday life in China.
