David Odisho captures the raw and poetic essence of the underlying culture and its soulful rhythms pulsating throughout the avenues of Golden Gate Park of San Francisco
“In the heart of Inner Richmond and amidst the sprawling embrace of Golden Gate Park of San Francisco, I sought to capture the raw and poetic essence of the underlying culture and its soulful rhythms pulsating throughout the avenues. I was inspired to take on this personal project after listening to a live recording of Evenings at the Village Gate with jazz legends John Coltrane and Eric Dolphy.
Such two seemingly disparate art forms, share an intriguing parallel when it comes to the discordant rhythms that define their essence. Just as a jazz ensemble might embark on a spontaneous improvisation, shifting tempos and weaving intricate melodies, I sought to infuse a similar discordant style in a series of photographs that I captured outside of the home in juxtaposition to the contemplative thrum within.
Seeking the euphony of being amid chaos.”

This is what I love so much reading your newsletter: get inspired! This photo series is awesome. Really happy to discover a new photographer, David!
These are all really special pics which I'd like to spend some more time with. Though first, I was curious what was going on with that Apple monitor / computer room. Do you know the background of that one?
