With Elvis Presley’s birthday yesterday, I wanted to take a nostalgic trip back to the beautiful photos of the “King of Rock and Roll” from 1956, captured by freelance photographer Alfred Weetheimer.

Alfred Wertheimer is a name that is not well-known among the general public, but he is a figure who played a significant role in the history of popular music. Wertheimer was a German-born photographer who immigrated to the United States in the 1930s. He is best known for his photographs of Elvis Presley, which were taken during the singer's rise to fame in the 1950s.
